It took a couple of big plays for Lakeville North to go on the road and beat Rosemount in an early Metro-South showdown on Friday night — one that started the game and one that ended it.Panthers wide receiver Ayden Forsgren returned the opening kickoff 94 yards for a touchdown and linebacker Reece Hunt’s strip sack thwarted a late Irish comeback as Lakeville North improved to 2-0 with a 14-11 victory. The Panthers saw a 14-0 first-quarter lead hold up as they knocked off last season’s Class 6A runner-up.“The best coverage in football is the blitz,” Lakeville North head coach Brian Vossen said of the decision to send Hunt in around right end on a third-and-seven play from midfield with just over a minute to play.“We were sending pressure as often as we could, and we had a hard time getting there. They were doing a good job. But we made one little wrinkle on that edge blitz and Reece Hunt made a great play.“AJ Pacyga, who’s my nephew, got in there and dove on it.
