Oakland teens arrested for Union City cannabis dispensary break-ins

(KRON) – The Union City Police Department arrested three suspects in connection with a commercial burglary. Union City officers responded to Lemonnade Dispensary for an alarm on Nov. 21 at 3:07 a.m. Five to eight suspects were seen attempting to force their way into the business. Suspect who led police on dramatic rooftop to rooftop pursuit arrested by San Pablo PD Upon arrival, officers did not locate any suspects on the property.At 3:17 a.m., Union City PD received calls from on-site security at Flor Dispensary regarding suspects who forced their way into the business. Once officers were at the scene, they noticed several suspects were still inside the building. According to police, the suspects attempted to flee but were unsuccessful. (BCN) -- A Greenfield man faces 13 years in prison after he was convicted for molesting a child, Monterey County prosecutors said Monday.A jury found Juan Pablo Aragon-Herrera guilty of committing lewd and lascivious acts upon a child under the age of 14, assault with the intent to commit lewd and lascivious acts upon the same child, and child endangerment, the Monterey County District Attorney's office said in a statement. Former office manager faces 30 years in federal prison Prosecutors said that on July 2, Aragon-Herrera was visiting a house where two 14-year-old children, identified as Jane Doe and John Doe, were hanging LED lights in a bedroom. Aragon-Herrera walked into their room and used a ruse to remove Jane's pants and place her on a bed when he attempted to continue touching her. (AP) — The Los Angeles Angels have hired Barry Enright to be their pitching coach.Manager Ron Washington gave the job Tuesday to the 37-year-old Enright, who has only been in coaching for five years. He was a pitching coach in the Arizona Diamondbacks’ system from 2019-21, and he spent the past two years as their assistant major league pitching coach and minor league pitching coordinator.The Angels also hired veteran coach Tim Laker to be their offensive coordinator, working with new hitting coach Johnny Washington and the Angels’ hitters.Enright is a Northern California native who played at Pepperdine before pitching in 31 games over four seasons in the majors with Arizona and the Angels from 2010-13. JUNEAU, Alaska (AP) — At least one person has died and others are believed missing following a large landslide that covered a highway near a remote community in southeast Alaska during the night, authorities said Tuesday. The slide occurred about 9 p.m. Monday near Wrangell, an island community of more than 2,000 people about 155 miles (250 kilometers) south of Juneau, Alaska State Troopers said.A preliminary survey determined three homes were in the direct path of the slide, the first responders started a quick search for survivors, the troopers said in a statement.“The body of one deceased individual was located during the hasty search. A 38-year-old woman is facing charges of child neglect after, police said, her four-year-old daughter was discovered wandering alone at a Wawa gas station in Cutler Bay.Police said the incident unfolded around 2:30 a.m., Tuesday, when a customer found the young girl at the Wawa gas station located at 11101 SW 184th Street in Cutler Bay. The concerned customer brought the child inside the gas station and alerted the staff, who then contacted the Miami-Dade Police Department. Upon MDPD’s arrival, they secured the child and located Tracy Stark, of Miami, sitting in the driver’s seat of her vehicle with the door open. According to police, Stark was slow to respond when questioned about the situation. When asked if she was alone, Stark reportedly said she initially forgot her daughter was in the car but later showed a picture of the child to the officers.
