Former South St. Paul Schools IT director sentenced to prison for possessing child porn The former director of technology for South St. Paul schools was given a seven-year sentence after pleading guilty to possessing child pornography at his Hudson, Wis., home.Paul Michael Brashear, 63, entered the plea Friday in St. Croix County District Court to one count of possession of child pornography and was sentenced to three years in prison, followed by four years of probation. Woman arrested for reportedly buying vehicle with fake currency TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A Mechanicville woman was arrested for reportedly purchasing a vehicle off Facebook Marketplace with fake currency in July. Jennifer M. Landry, 39, was taken into custody by Colonie Police on December 9 and handed over to State Police. Get the latest news, weather, sports and more delivered right to your inbox! The transaction took place on July 29. The victim, a Lake Luzerne resident, told police they realized the currency was fake after Landry departed with the vehicle. Landry also reportedly tried to purchase a vehicle on July 24 in Troy. State Police say she presented the victim with fake currency. (NEWS10) -- A Baton Rouge man faces up to five years in prison for shipping firearms from Louisiana to the Capital Region. Patterson admitted he shipped ten firearms in eight packages and that he knew the transfers were unlawful. Two firearms were recovered at an apartment in Troy. The recipient was a man on parole.
