(KRON) -- A man was arrested Thursday in connection to stealing more than $30,000 worth of property, the Napa County Sheriff's Office (NCSO) announced in a Facebook post. Graham Barlow, 37, was arrested and accused of grand theft, burglary and receiving known stolen property. Authorities believe most of the property was stolen from businesses and homes in Napa and St. Helena. SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- Following the Biden administration's ending of the U.S. public health emergency around COVID-19, iPhone exposure notifications have been turned off across the U.S., according to the California Department of Public Health. The COVID-19 digital exposure notification systems that pinged users' phones when they were potentially exposed to the virus were turned off on May 11, the day the national COVID-19 State of Emergency ended. Summer-like temps headed for the Bay Area this weekend In California, users who opted in for the CA Notify alerts on their phones should have received an alert informing them that exposure notifications are turned off, according to CDPH. "We encourage people to continue following current CDPH COVID-19 guidelines," said a statement on the public health website. Gretchen Whitmer conducted her second international trade mission of the year this week, spending two days in Austria and Latvia meeting with both business and government leaders. Whitmer, who spoke with The Associated Press upon returning to Michigan on Friday, said the international trips are “an important part of the job,” as the state looks to grow relationships and “secure additional economic opportunities for our state.” In Latvia, the second-term Democratic governor and close ally of U.S. President Joe Biden met with Latvian President Egils Levits and other ranking officials before visiting Michigan national guard troops stationed in the country. DENVER (KDVR) -- Temperatures are rising, spring is in full bloom and bears are waking up from their long winter naps. That means they're hungry and looking for food. Colorado Parks and Wildlife said it has received 173 reports of bear activity in 25 counties so far this year. Many of the calls are coming from residential areas, as bears are attracted to the smell of food from unsecured trash cans and bird feeders. “Every time a bear gets a treat, a bird feeder, a hummingbird feeder, or trash, it teaches the bear that people mean food,” said Matt Yamashita, CPW’s area wildlife manager for Area 8, which covers Aspen, Glenwood Springs and Eagle and Pitkin counties. “People who think that it’s one time, no big deal, are totally wrong. An ApartmentList study analyzed commuter trends in every U.S. metro area using U.S. Census data to measure the change through the 2010s and early 2020s.
