LOUIS - A criminal contempt case against former Circuit Attorney Kim Gardner and a former assistant prosecutor Chris Desilets has been dismissed, according to new court documents obtained by FOX 2 on Wednesday. After mounting legal challenges, Gardner officially resigned from her role as St. Louis Circuit Attorney on Tuesday, nearly two weeks before she initially planned to step down. LOUIS – The St. Louis Circuit Attorney’s Office charged a 41-year-old man in connection with the 2022 fatal shooting of a teenager.According to Evita Caldwell, a spokeswoman for the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, the shooting happened on Sept. 30. Investigators did not say where or when, specifically, took place.Caldwell said the victim, Corion Love, was dropped off at a hospital shortly after 2:40 a.m., with a gunshot wound to his back. One Twentynine Palms man is behind bars and faces an attempted murder charge after he stabbed another Twentynine Palms man Saturday night.At 9:41 p.m., San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department deputies were flagged down at Sunnyvale Drive and Morongo Road, and they found a 41-year-old man suffering from a stab wound, authorities said in a news release. The alleged assailant was identified as 41-year-old Rudy Garcia, and he was found nearby and arrested.He is being held at the West Valley Detention Center in lieu of $1 million bail.
