BALTIMORE (AP) — Maryland officials approved a lease extension for the Baltimore Orioles at Camden Yards on Monday, formalizing a long-term agreement between the team and the state and capping months of negotiations that were challenged by how to proceed with future development plans near the ballpark.The state’s Board of Public Works, chaired by Gov. DENVER (KDVR) — A man from Denver risked his life to save his 2-year-old daughter from getting hit by an oncoming driver.The family of Alonso Garcia says he pushed his daughter out of the way before he was hit. He was taken to the hospital and died shortly after he was released."He loved her very much. He did everything for her. Even sacrificing his own life for her," said Karla Alanis, Garcia's sister. "Alonso took his daughter out to get something to eat, and they were on foot. He took her in a stroller. DENVER (KDVR) — A driver crashed into a Colorado transportation worker on Monday along Interstate 76.According to Colorado State Patrol, it happened around 12:38 p.m. on westbound I-76 near the Interstate 270 off-ramp interchange. The crash was reported as a possible hit-and-run. No information was immediately available on the worker's injuries or condition, nor whether they were in or out of a vehicle at the time of the crash. DENVER (KDVR) — Police and a local man are asking for the public's help finding a 2006 metallic blue Hummer that was stolen from a parking lot in northeast Denver. "This was my dream truck. I was wanting one of these for years. so I finally was able to buy one cash," said Mario McDonald, who owned the Hummer. "I just got it April of this year." ARVADA, Colo. (KDVR) — A family-owned business in Arvada is giving out free Christmas trees and toys to those who can’t afford to buy their own this year. For the past four years, Julie Echter, with Echter’s Nursery and Garden Center, said they’ve given away more than 350 trees to families in need. "This year we’ll have trees, stands, ornaments, lights, decorations and new toys for kids,” Echter said. A killer crime was caught on camera outside the Turnberry on the Green condominium in Aventura on Halloween. “Aventura, 911 what’s your emergency”, dispatcher said. “I live in Turnberry on the green and I heard a couple of gunshots,” the caller replies. New surveillance video, obtained exclusively by 7News, showed what police called a premeditated effort to lure the victim to a vulnerable location in order to kill him, just steps from Aventura Mall.
