A look at what’s happening in European soccer on Friday:SPAINAthletic Bilbao looks to return to winning ways when it hosts last-place Almeria in the Spanish league. Athletic is coming off a home draw against Getafe and a 3-0 loss at Real Sociedad in the Basque Country derby. The results dropped Athletic to sixth place, behind rival Sociedad. Almeria is the only team yet to win after eight league rounds. It relinquished a three-goal halftime lead against Granada on Sunday in a match that ended 3-3. It has five losses. ITALYLecce will be keen to get back on track when it hosts Sassuolo in Serie A. Lecce had a surprising start to the season and was unbeaten in its first five matches. But it fell to a narrow loss at Juventus last week and followed up with a 4-0 thrashing by defending champion Napoli at the weekend. Sassuolo had impressive wins over Juventus and Inter Milan recently but lost at home to Monza on Monday. Wall Street drifted slightly lower as pressure from the bond market remains high due to worries about a too-hot U.S. job market. The S&P 500 slipped 0.1% Thursday. The Dow edged down 9 points and the Nasdaq composite fell 0.1%. Stocks have struggled since the summer as Treasury yields have soared. Yields wavered up and down Thursday after a report showed fewer workers applied for unemployment benefits last week than economists expected, which could be a signal of upward pressure on inflation. DENVER (KDVR) -- A juvenile is in custody after allegedly stabbing another juvenile at a Denver elementary school Thursday.According to the Denver Police Department, the stabbing happened at Marie L. Greenwood Early-8 in Montbello. UPDATE: THURSDAY 10/5/2023 3:09 p.m.(FREMONT COUNTY, Colo.) — The Fremont County Sheriff's Office (FCSO) said a funeral home is under investigation after a search warrant revealed "improperly stored" human remains.FCSO said in a press release that deputies originally responded on the evening of Oct. 3 to 31 Werner Road in Penrose on a "suspicious incident." A no swim advisory was issued by the Florida Department of Health in Miami-Dade County.
