Boxing star and Oakland native Devin Haney was arrested overnight Thursday, according to Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department records. Haney was arrested in the Hollywood area around 1 a.m. on a felony charge, KTLA sister station KRON reports. The undisputed lightweight champion had a semi-automatic handgun in his car during a traffic stop and was arrested for "felony possession of a concealed weapon," according to TMZ. Although Haney was not behind the wheel, the car registered under his name made an unsafe lane change and failed to use a turn signal, the outlet reported. SAN JOSE — A man who was arrested by San Jose police after a standoff in Sacramento earlier this week was wanted in connection with a fatal shooting in East San Jose in June, authorities said.Tyrese Burse, 21, of San Jose, was arrested Tuesday evening in the Arden-Arcade neighborhood of the state capital after he reportedly ran from an SJPD arrest team and holed up inside an apartment on Morse Avenue. After a few hours, Burse surrendered to a contingent of police that came to also include Sacramento-area law enforcement.San Jose police contend that Burse was responsible for a June 29 shooting near Lanai Avenue and Dixie Drive in San Jose that left a man seriously wounded. The National Weather Service said they expect Friday to be 102 degrees and Saturday and Sunday will be 107 degrees. (KTXL) -- On Tuesday, a homicide suspect out of San Jose was arrested in Sacramento after he barricaded himself inside of a home, according to the San Jose Police Department. Tyrese Burse, 21, of San Jose, was barricaded in a home on the 1500 block of Morse Avenue while officers from the San Jose Police Department and the Sacramento Police Department attempted to detain him. At around 6 p.m., law enforcement were able to bring Burse into custody and transported him to San Jose, where he was booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail. Burse is a suspect in a June 29 shooting that left one man with life-threatening injuries that he would later die from on July 7.
