Southern California's next Costco is coming to Camarillo.A Costco Wholesale is expected to open in late 2024 on West Ventura Boulevard next to Home Depot, according to the Ventura County Star.The building will be just shy of 170,000 square feet and includes a gas station with 16 pumps.According to Diana Salazar, the company's director of real estate development, 215 jobs will be created.Last year, city officials crowed when the company's plans were announced.“The economic development potential Costco brings to Camarillo is phenomenal,” City Manager Greg Ramirez said in a statement, “and we are proud of the work and excellent customer service our staff provides to the business and development community that make deals like this possible.”Target's budget-friendly holiday feast is back for a limited-time

Target’s popular discount holiday meal is back for the holiday season, the Minneapolis-based retail giant announced Tuesday. Until Dec. 25, Target customers can purchase a holiday meal for under $25 online or in-store. The dinners are designed to feed up to four people and includes a 6-pound hickory smoked ham and six fixings. As people sit down for dinner in Milpitas, two out of three of them are speaking something other than English when they ask for seconds.No other city in the Bay Area has such a high percentage of residents who come home and share the highlights and struggles of their day in another language.That’s according to a new round of data released Thursday from the U.S Census Bureau’s American Community Survey on the country’s households.Perhaps, not surprisingly, California is the state with the largest proportion of people who speak a language other than English at home — 44% of all residents 5 and older.
