In a town hall-style meeting in downtown Los Angeles Tuesday, fast-food workers discussed how many of them are facing homelessness.The workers said their situation is not something to be ashamed of, but rather an issue to speak out about for change.The conversation centered around a report released Monday looking at the scale of homelessness and housing instability among the fast-food sector of workers.Economic Roundtable's study found that workers in the fast-food industry make up 11% of all homeless workers in California and 9% in Los Angeles County. Motorcycle Crash near State Highway 92 Left Male Rider DeadREDWOOD CITY, CA (May 2, 2023) – Saturday night, a motorcycle-auto collision on Highway 101 left one rider dead.The fatal crash happened around 11:56 p.m. along northbound U.S. Highway 101, just south of State Highway 92.According to the CHP, a motorcyclist traveling northbound hit a Toyota sedan. Traffic Collision Near California Incline Left Several CasualtiesSANTA MONICA, CA (May 2, 2023) – Saturday afternoon, a two-car crash on Pacific Coast Highway left one person dead and nine others hospitalized.The fatal incident happened around 3:10 p.m. at the 1000 block of PCH near the California Incline.According to the report, a northbound Kia SUV with six adults and two juveniles attempted to turn left into Beach Lot Four North.However, it was T-boned by a Toyota Camry traveling southbound with two adult occupants.
