ST. CHARLES COUNTY, Mo. - Dozens gathered for another pro-Palestinian rally Tuesday afternoon in the St. Louis region.It's estimated that around 50 people rallied around 1 p.m. outside the Boeing 598 facility in St. Charles County, holding signs and briefly slowing down traffic around the area. The demonstration was planned on behalf of the St. Louis Palestine Solidarity Committee. Assessments rise for 97% of St. Louis County homeowners, but not county executive Joint direct attack munitions, also known as JDAMs, are manufactured at the facility. Demonstrators maintain that the U.S. is "directly funding" what they call "ongoing genocide in Gaza" and that taxpayer money is supporting it.This is at least the second such demonstration in St. Charles County this month. The Blue Angels are coming to town to promote next summer's Spirit of St. Louis Air Show & STEM Expo. One of the F/A-18 Super Hornets will be landing at the Spirit of St. Louis Airport in Chesterfield on November 27.The 2024 Spirit of St. Louis Air Show & STEM Expo is scheduled for June 8-9. Tickets for the show will be available to the public on Monday, November 27. Free admission for children 12 and under is being offered this year. ST. LOUIS - After record-breaking crowds last winter, the St. Louis Battlehawks are raising the bar even higher. The Battlehawks announced there will be a select number of 400-level season tickets available for the 2024 XFL season. Assessments rise for 97% of St. Louis County homeowners, but not county executive This is the first time that Battlehawks season tickets have been available in the highest section of the Dome at America's Center. Occasionally, the Dome would open up the 400 section to fans last season, leading to crowds of up to 38,000 people. Denver Mayor Mike Johnston on Tuesday named Gretchen Hollrah as the new leader of Denver Arts & Venues, filling a role that oversees multimillion-dollar projects at some of the state’s biggest music, arts and entertainment venues.Hollrah’s appointment comes after the September ouster of Ginger White-Brunetti, the former Arts & Venues director appointed by former Denver Mayor Michael Hancock. A tree trimmer was apparently electrocuted in Cheviot Hills Tuesday afternoon, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.The trimmer, only identified as a man, was about 20 or 25 feet up a tree or hedges when responders arrived. He was unresponsive, and he "appears to have been electrocuted," according to an LAFD alert."Firefighters are preparing for a technical rescue. Los Angeles County officials are proposing a plan to allow doctors and nurses at County-operated hospitals and medical campuses to give out free gun locks. The proposal is part of the county's harm reduction strategy to prevent gun violence, according to a release from Supervisor Janice Hahn.
