One Pronounced Dead after Hit-and-Run Accident near Thomas RoadPHOENIX, AZ (May 1, 2023) – Early Sunday morning, one victim was pronounced dead after a hit-and-run pedestrian collision on Interstate 17.Dispatchers responded to the scene just before 4:00 a.m., near Thomas Road.At this time, the events leading up to the incident remain unclear. However, reports indicate that first responders located an unconscious victim lying on the highway.Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene. Hit-and-Run Crash on Hubbard Street near Adelphia Avenue Left Man DeadSYLMAR, CA (May 1, 2023) – Early Friday morning, one person died following a hit-and-run crash on Hubbard Street.The incident happened on April 21st, just before 1:00 a.m., on Hubbard Street near Adelphia Avenue.According to reports, the pedestrian was pushing a shopping cart when he was struck by a black Honda Civic driven by a Hispanic woman in her 20s.Following the crash, the suspect drove away, stopping briefly the area of Hubbard Street and Dronfield Avenue.Meanwhile, paramedics arrived at the scene and transported the pedestrian to a hospital where he later died due to his injuries. Police have arrested three men in connection with an alleged robbery spree targeting the Asian American and Pacific Islander communities throughout the Bay Area, authorities said Monday.According to a news release from San Jose police, three men between the ages of 26 and 28 from Antioch and Richmond were responsible for 13 armed or strong-armed robberies, five grand thefts and “countless” vehicle burglaries. Police investigated the alleged crimes between December and February and obtained arrest and search warrants.Police arrested one suspect on April 14 after a succession of alleged vehicle robberies at Grand Century Mall in San Jose. Sydney Fischer was last seen by her mother at 7:30 a.m. Monday and didn't arrive at school, according to police. About 3,000 Prince George’s County, Maryland, Public School graduating seniors spent Monday morning at Prince George’s Stadium in Bowie celebrating what was called “Decision Day,” a first-time event held by the county to honor the class of 2023.It was part pep rally and part career fair.Students could grab food, take a 360-degree photo with their friends, and sign banners celebrating the imminent end of their high school careers.
