(AP) — The Miami Dolphins are placing veteran left tackle Terron Armstead on injured reserve because of a knee injury he suffered in Week 4 against the Buffalo Bills, coach Mike McDaniel confirmed Friday.McDaniel said he expects Armstead to return at some point this season, but he’ll be sidelined for at least the next four games. His earliest return could be for a Week 9 matchup with Kansas City in Germany.Armstead appeared to have his leg rolled up in the second quarter of a 48-20 loss at Buffalo. He remained on the ground for a few minutes before slowly walking off the field at Highmark Stadium.Armstead missed Miami’s first two games of the season with lingering back, ankle and knee issues. Miami Heat pep rally held at Central Park Elementary as part of energy consumption challenge South Florida students were fired up thanks to the Miami Heat.The students at Central Park Elementary in plantation started their Friday with a pep rally that included dancing with Heat mascot Burnie and the Hoop Troop.The celebration was part of the How Low Can You Go challenge that is sponsored by the Miami Heat, which encourages schools to reduce the amount of energy and water they consume throughout the school year.“We were able to lower our energy consumption last year from the 2022-2023 school year and our kids did a great job,” said Lori Turner, principal at Central Park Elementary. “Our teachers worked really hard to promote the idea of conservation. We turned off computers, we turned off laptops, we also did our best to help keep our environment clean as well.”The pep rally also celebrated Green Sports Day, which helps connect environmental stewardship with athletic events.

2 charged with second-degree murder in quadruple Cabbagetown shooting Toronto police have charged two Brampton men with second-degree murder in connection to a fatal shooting in Cabbagetown in September that also injured three other people.Police responded to the area of Dundas Street East and Sherbourne Street around 2:45 a.m. on Sept. 16 for the sounds of gunshots.Police say the suspects approached a group of people and started shooting at them.Two people in the group were taken to hospital in life-threatening condition, while two others were listed in critical condition.One of the victims has since died in hospital.
