TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) — Jalen Milroe was planted on his back just after he delivered his biggest pass of the season. When the Alabama quarterback finally got to his feet, it only took a moment to realize the result: a 33-yard touchdown strike to freshman Jalen Hale that helped the 13th-ranked Crimson Tide beat No. 15 Mississippi 24-10 on Saturday.Milroe didn’t get up quickly, but he was celebrating when he did.“I heard the crowd,” Milroe said, “I looked at the ref a little bit. He put his hands up and OK, it’s a touchdown.”The play helped ignite an offense that has badly needed a spark. The Tide (3-1) scored 18 points in a 14-minute span — one more than the team managed against South Florida last weekend — to pull away from the Rebels (3-1) in the Southeastern Conference opener for both teams.“We told the players that we believe in our team and it was important for them to believe in each other,” Alabama coach Nick Saban said. “But there’s a responsibility that comes with ...Crawley, Grambling, Chalk it up in 35-23 win over Texas Southern

There’s a difference,” Lanning told his team in front of ESPN’s cameras.Troy Franklin caught eight passes for 126 yards and two scores for Oregon. After the game, Lanning was more reserved.“I think that team’s heading in the right direction. (CNN) — Mexico has made an agreement with the United States to deport migrants from its border cities to their home countries and take several actions to deter migrants as part of a new effort to combat the recent surge in border crossings.Mexican officials met with US Customs and Border Protection officials on Friday in Ciudad Juárez,, Mexico, which is across the border from El Paso, Texas, following the recent spike in illegal crossings into the US, which temporarily closed an international bridge and paused Mexico’s main cargo train system. As part of the agreement, Mexico agreed to “depressurize” its northern cities, which border the El Paso, San Diego and Eagle Pass, Texas, where the mayor has declared a state of emergency. John Means threw his signature change-up, then grimaced and dropped his head. He knew immediately that his pursuit of a second no-hitter, just like the ball off Andrés Giménez’s bat, was gone. The two-out home run in the seventh inning marked the first hit Means allowed in his third start back with the Orioles after last year’s Tommy John elbow reconstruction, and it provided the only run the Cleveland Guardians scored in Baltimore’s 2-1 victory.Means’ pitch count likely would have prevented him from finishing the feat, as he did May 5, 2021, against the Seattle Mariners for the Orioles’ first solo no-hitter since 1969. Saturday’s start marked Means’ longest since that game.He followed Giménez’s home run, on his season-high 89th pitch, by inducing a popout one offering later. And with a left-handed hitter opening the eighth, manager Brandon Hyde gave Means one more batter. Hyde said before the game he wouldn’t put M...Investigation underway after fire breaks out at South Side high-rise
