ROME (AP) — Lazio moved into the top half of Serie A when it beat Empoli 2-0 on Friday and returned to winning ways after two straight losses.Mattéo Guendouzi got the opener after eight minutes when he rifled home through a crowd of players following a goalmouth scramble.Mattia Zaccagni doubled the lead midway through the second half when he stabbed home from close range.Empoli has the poorest attack in the league with just 10 goals in 17 games. (AP) — Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence practiced Friday despite remaining in the NFL’s concussion protocol.Lawrence sprinted from stretching lines to positions groups and looked sharp in individual passing drills. DENVER (KDVR) — The Rocky Mountain Safe Streets Task Force and the Thornton Police Department are seeking help in identifying an individual who allegedly robbed a bank on Dec. 20.According to the Metro Denver Crime Stoppers, the alleged crime took place at about 1:50 p.m. on Wednesday at the First Bank located at 3990 E. 104th Ave. in Thornton.The suspect allegedly presented a demand note and fled from the bank on a mountain bike. The individual had been seen in the bank a day before the robbery, according to Metro Denver Crime Stoppers. DENVER (KDVR) -- A serious crash is impacting traffic heading north on Interstate 25. According to FOX31 reporter Courtney Fromm, the backup began right before the Orchard Road exit (milepost 198) and was impacting traffic as far south as milepost 194, near the Colorado 470 interchange and Park Meadows. DENVER (KDVR) -- Nearly two years ago, the Marshall Fire burned thousands of acres in Boulder County and destroyed over 1,000 homes in its path. It was the most destructive fire in Colorado history.One of those houses was home to Matt Morris, an engineering professor at the University of Colorado Boulder. His family is spending their first Christmas in their new home on the property this year, according to a release from CU. Why a burn extinguished days before Marshall Fire is believed to be part of the cause Morris started to rebuild their home in August of 2022. According to the release, one of his students, George Kurtz, heard about his efforts and showed up to help. Kurtz, then a senior in architectural engineering, kept showing up and Morris eventually hired him. Officials in Norwood say a standoff that occurred in the parking lot of a business ended with an armed suspect being shot by an officer.Posting on social media just before 2 p.m. on Friday, Norwood Police Chief William Brooks said the officer-involved shooting occurred on Morse Street.“Officer involved shooting Morse Street.
