Krayzie Bone gave fans an update on his health with a selfie from his hospital bed. "Just fought for (my) life literally for nine days straight," he posted to Instagram on Tuesday. He then thanked all those who supported him during this time. "I only won the battle this time because I know Jehovah God was with me every step of the way fighting for me," he continued. "Never take life for granted, enjoy it while you have it! Another victim of the “Happy Face Killer” has been identified, giving names to seven of the man’s eight known victims.Suzanne Kellenberg. (Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office) The body found in September 1994 next to a Florida freeway is that of Suzanne Kjellenberg, who was 34 when she was strangled by long-haul truck driver Keith Jesperson, said Okaloosa County Sheriff Eric Aden at a Tuesday news conference.Another of the man’s victims, who was found dead in 1993 east of Gilroy, Calif., was identified last year.Jesperson, now 68, was dubbed the Happy Face Killer because he drew smiley faces on letters he sent to the media and police. By Laura Studley | CNNFour horses have died at Golden Gate Fields in the East Bay in the past two weeks, California Horse Racing Board spokesperson Mike Marten told CNN on Tuesday.Two of the horses, a 5- and 6-year-old, were euthanized on October 1 and September 25 after they suffered musculoskeletal injuries from racing and exercising, Marten said.A 2-year-old horse died on September 27 after an “apparent cardio failure” and a fourth horse was euthanized after she sustained a wound in her stall, he said.CNN has reached out to Golden Gate Fields for comment.There have been 12 horse deaths at Golden Gate Fields in 2023, Marten said. (KRON) -- Forty years after the beating death of a woman whose naked body was found in Rohnert Park, an arrest has been made, the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office announced Tuesday.Investigators working on the 1983 cold case homicide of Noelle Russo identified one of the persons of interest developed over the years as a suspect. Alfredo Carretero Jr., 65, of Lakeport, was linked to the death based on DNA and other evidence, according to the sheriff’s office. Detectives with the Violent Crime Investigations (VCI) unit arrested Carretero Jr. on Oct. 2.The arrest comes after a “significant amount of evidence” was collected and numerous interviews were conducted in the investigation, the sheriff’s office said. VCI detectives sent pieces of evidence to the Santa Clara County Crime Lab and the Serological Research Institute for DNA analysis between 2010 and 2023, which they said led to a positive identification of the suspect. (BCN) -- Oakland officers arrested seven people in connection with three separate cases of auto burglary in the city, police said.Last Thursday, undercover officers allegedly saw two people getting out of a vehicle and committing an auto burglary in the 3300 block of Grand Avenue.
