COPENHAGEN, Denmark (AP) — In the end, it didn’t matter what Manchester United did.Copenhagen’s 1-0 win over Galatasaray on Tuesday booked the Danish champion’s place in the knockout stage of the Champions League from second place in Group A and ensured that even a United win over Bayern Munich wouldn’t have been enough for Erik ten Hag’s troubled team.United, which lost 1-0 to Bayern, had needed Copenhagen and Galatasaray to draw to keep its hopes alive. Galatasaray finishes third and will drop into the Europa League, while United is last.Lukas Lerager scored the only goal of the game but was later sent off to give Galatasaray hope of a late comeback. After a tense first half lacking much creativity from either team, Copenhagen made the breakthrough in the 58th minute when Elias Achouri crossed low for Lerager to score his third Champions League goal of the season as the Galatasaray defense was slow to react. The midfielder was sent off for collecting tw...With Ukraine aid in peril, Zelenskyy pleads his case on Capitol Hill and at the White House

WASHINGTON (AP) — His country’s future at stake, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy used inspirational words, optimistic resolve and a nod to Christmas in appealing Tuesday to leaders in Congress for U.S. aid for his fighters in the war with Russia. But after hours of talks on Capitol Hill, additional American support appeared in grave doubt as Zelenskyy arrived at the White House to huddle with President Joe Biden. The U.S. has already provided Ukraine $111 billion since Russian President Vladimir Putin launched his grinding invasion more than 21 months ago, but Republicans are insisting on linking any more money to strict U.S.-Mexico border security changes that Democrats decry. The White House is warning that if new money isn’t provided by year’s end it will have swift consequences for Ukraine’s capacity to hold its territory, let alone take back land captured by Russia. Biden, speaking at an early evening news conference with Zelenskyy, warned that f...Is your vehicle legal to drive on I-70 this winter? Here's what to check

DENVER (KDVR) -- When the temperatures start to drop in Colorado, you may find yourself reaching for the lip balm a bit more than usual or digging into your closet to find that humidifier you forgot about to combat how dry it suddenly feels. You might think you're imagining things, but that isn't the case. Coloradans consider it to be cold at this temperature Pinpoint Weather Meteorologist Travis Michels explained that there is one main culprit behind the dryness: The cold. Why does winter feel so dry in Colorado? For one, it is already dry here. Colorado is far away from major bodies of water such as oceans and lakes, and the high elevation makes the dryness even worse. So, the baseline for moisture is already lower than in more humid regions. These Colorado highways are some of the most hated roads in America This is important because Michels said how dry it feels depends on dew point and temperature, which create what is known as relative humidity.Relative humidity is essentially...RTD will be free on New Year's Eve

President Joe Biden on Tuesday mounted a full-throated case for maintaining critical support for Ukraine in its war with Russia — but sounded less certain than ever he’d be able to deliver on it.Standing alongside Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Biden hailed the nation’s survival during two years of brutal war as an “enormous victory.” He expressed full confidence that Ukraine could ultimately prevail, and vowed that his White House would remain steadfast in its allyship.Yet facing entrenched Republican resistance to billions of dollars more in funding to strengthen Ukraine’s defenses, Biden could not deliver Zelensky what he wanted: a rock-solid promise.“We’re in negotiations to get funding we need. Not making promises, but hopeful we can get there — I think we can,” Biden said at a White House press conference with Zelenskyy.Minutes earlier, Biden said the U.S. would continue to supply Ukraine with air defenses, artillery and other weapons “as long as we can” — a far cry ...Latest news
