PAUL — Matt Varilek, president of the Little Falls-based Initiative Foundation, will lead the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development.“Having grown up in a lower-income household, I’m passionate about helping more people enjoy greater economic prosperity,” Varilek said in a news release. “I’m deeply grateful to Governor Walz and Lieutenant Governor Flanagan for the opportunity to join the talented team at DEED at this pivotal moment. (AP) — Jace Bohrofen had a two-run single, Hunter Hollan pitched 5 1/3 innings of solid relief, and Arkansas made a five-run fourth inning stand up for a 5-4 victory over LSU on Thursday in the SEC Tournament.Bohrofen’s bases-loaded single drove in two and capped the Razorbacks’ big inning after RBI-singles by Caleb Cali and Peyton Holt.
