US 287 closes from Ted's Place to Wyoming after multiple crashes DENVER (KDVR) — As Thanksgiving Day wound down, a snowstorm began to move into Colorado. And it didn't take long for the weather to affect the roads.Northern Colorado, including Boulder and Fort Collins, are under a winter storm warning, with the area expected to get 5-12 inches of snow. The warning went into effect Thursday afternoon and is expected to stay in effect until 5 a.m. Saturday. 15 people displaced after fire damages several buildings in Waltham More than a dozen people were forced out of their homes Thursday after a fire spread to several buildings in Waltham, officials said. Emergency crews were first called to the scene on Moody Street around 5:30 p.m. In all, officials said four buildings were damaged. Fifteen people were displaced. “It literally punched me in the face,” Leandro Paola said of the thick smoke that at one point choked the neighborhood. “Just the scent of burning woods, it was ridiculous.” Video shared with 7NEWS showed the entire back of one building engulfed in flames. Doggett: USDA investigating Texas' SNAP delays, backlog AUSTIN (KXAN) -- The US Department of Agriculture, which administers the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), is investigating lengthy delays for Texans needing assistance, according to Democratic Congressman Lloyd Doggett of Austin.USDA officials came to Austin recently to meet with officials from the Texas Health and Human Services Commission, which oversees SNAP, Doggett said. He will be briefed on the findings, and potential "corrective actions" next week. "We'll be gathering for Thanksgiving with families, often for a Thanksgiving feast," said Doggett.
