ST. LOUIS - Dozens have gathered for two rush-hour demonstrations in the St. Louis metro Thursday afternoon, one in the City of St. Louis and another in St. Louis County. FOX 2 has learned of a gathering in the Forest Park Southeast neighborhood near Chouteau and South Newstead avenues. Many have brought flags or signs, and the group could potentially march along St. Louis streets. City sells stolen car in error; won’t share profits with victim This is the second large demonstration over the St. Louis metro in the last few hours. Dozens also gathered along Manchester Road in west St. Louis County with similar signs and flags. This is leading to some major traffic delays. Police also arrested one person while responding. ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. – The search is on for an armed thief who targeted a south St. Louis County 7-Eleven convenience store.According to a police spokesperson, the armed robbery occurred around 7:30 a.m. Wednesday at the 7-Eleven on Hoffmeister Avenue. The suspect walked inside and pointed a handgun at the clerk.Amy Cooper, who works in the area, said the news is alarming“It’s scary. Another of the three men accused of killing five people in a house fire in Denver’s Green Valley Ranch neighborhood is likely to reach a plea agreement with prosecutors, his attorney said Thursday during the first hearing since the Colorado Supreme Court upheld key evidence in the case.Gavin Seymour is continuing plea negotiations with prosecutors, his attorney said. Residents of an off-campus apartment building serving students who attend Denver’s Auraria Campus are being told to sign up to shower at an adjacent hotel because their units have been without hot water for nearly two months.The boiler system at the Auraria Student Lofts, located in a high rise at 1051 14th St., across from the Denver Performing Arts Complex, malfunctioned in mid-September, leaving student tenants without consistent hot water, said Paula Platt, senior vice president of Nelson Partners Student Housing, which manages the property.The Auraria Campus, home to the Metropolitan University of Denver, the University of Colorado Denver and Colorado Community College, is not affiliated with the private student apartments, which offer 125 units with 438 beds.The parts to fix the boiler are custom and must be manufactured, Platt said. New details are emerging about the shooting near the parking garage of an Erewhon Market near The Grove last week.Los Angeles Police Department officials told KTLA that the shooter, who emerged from a Lamborghini, and the victim knew each other prior to the incident on the afternoon of Nov. 2. Pedestrian-Auto Collision in Lincoln Park Resulted in FatalitySAN DIEGO, CA (November 9, 2023) – Police are searching for a driver Saturday evening following a fatal hit-and-run on 47th Street.The fatal collision took place at approximately 7:13 p.m. within the 300 block of 47th Street, located in the Lincoln Park neighborhood.According to the initial inquiry, a pedestrian was walking southward when they were struck by a northbound white Ford F-250 pickup.Regrettably, the driver of the Ford did not stop to assist the victim but instead fled the scene by heading north on 47th Street.The first responders transported the man to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
