Miami-Dade Police is asking for the public’s help in locating a missing 84-year-old man who may be in need of services. Otis James Hardemon was last seen on Tuesday, June 27, at approximately 4:00 p.m., leaving his residence near the 14800 block of Southwest 104 Avenue. Hardemon left in his vehicle which is described as a gray, four-door Mercedes-Benz with Florida tag 67AY1B. He is 5 feet, 10 inches and weighs about 125 pounds. Hardemon has brown eyes and is bald. He was last seen wearing black pants, a gray shirt, black and white sneakers and glasses. The missing person has not contacted any family or friends. MIAMI (AP) — Victor Oladipo exercised his $9.5 million option on Tuesday and is now under contract with the Miami Heat for this coming season.He tore his left patellar tendon during the first round of the playoffs against Milwaukee in April. The 31-year-old guard underwent his third major surgery in the last four years — the other two were on his right knee area — and there is no timetable for his return.Oladipo was a two-time All-Star with Indiana before getting hurt in January 2019. Indiana traded him to Houston in January 2021. The problem: They aren’t all members.Since Costco has expanded self-checkout, the company has noticed that non-members have been sneaking in to use membership cards that don’t belong to them. The warehouse club retailer will now ask for shoppers’ membership cards along with a photo ID to use the self-checkout registers – the same policy as regular checkout lanes.“We don’t feel it’s right that nonmembers receive the same benefits and pricing as our members,” Costco said in a statement.Costco has around 66,000 paid members and 119,000 cardholders, making it one of the largest membership clubs in the world. A teenager has been arrested in connection with two recent shootings in Barnstable, officials announced on Tuesday.Barnstable police said the 16-year-old was linked to an incident in the parking lot at Craigville Beach last month as well as an incident earlier this week. The Craigville Beach shooting happened on May 27. The other shooting happened on Sunday on Main Street in Barnstable, where a car with several bullet holes was later seen being towed away from the crime scene. Barnstable police said one person was injured by broken glass in the Craigville Beach shooting. The Main Street shooting just under one month later sent one person to the hospital after they were shot in the legs, according to police.Barnstable police said officers arrested the 16-year-old in Yarmouth early Tuesday morning on multiple charges including assault to murder with a firearm. SAN DIEGO -- A Poway man plead guilty to money laundering and social security fraud in federal court Tuesday after concealing his mother's death for decades.Donald Felix Zampach, 65, admitted that he received and then laundered hundreds of thousands of dollars in government benefits, US attorney Randy Grossman's office confirmed. Those funds, which were intended for his mother, should have stopped when she died in 1990.
