Drugs may be a factor in man’s death in Denver police custody, commander says A man who died in Denver police custody may have experienced a drug overdose shortly after he was arrested for violating a restraining order, according to body camera footage released Thursday.Denver Police Department officials discussed details of the Nov. 26 incident during a news conference at police headquarters Thursday.Officers responded to Fusion Studios at 3737 Quebec St. at 9:20 a.m. on reports from a pretrial services employee that Jesse Stowers, 43, was in the area and had tampered with his ankle monitor.Stowers had a court order barring him from the apartment complex and officers found his ankle monitor in an alleyway outside, Cmdr. LIVE: Police pursue suspected stolen vehicle Police are pursuing a carjacking suspect out of Fontana on Thursday night.The suspect is believed to be driving a stolen pickup truck, according to California Highway Patrol. They may be armed and it's unclear how many people are inside the vehicle. At least six patrol units are chasing the suspect on the westbound 10 freeway as they passed through downtown L.A. The driver later merged onto the northbound 101 toward the San Fernando Valley and then to the northbound 405 Freeway.A spike strip was deployed on the freeway at one point, but the driver spotted it and was able to quickly dodge it. A second spike strip may have been deployed under a bridge but was also unsuccessful.Registration for the vehicle's owner is traced back to the West Covina area.Sky5 is overhead. Los Gatos police halt attempted theft at Lululemon, prevent loss of $4K in merchandise (KRON) -- Officers responded to a report of an ongoing theft at a Lululemon store in Los Gatos on Thursday, the Los Gatos Police Department said. Police were able to arrive on time to catch two suspects who tried to leave with almost $4,000 worth of merchandise. LGPD posted a video (above) of police stopping the suspects who appeared to be exiting the store's doors with the merchandise. One of the suspects is heard in the video denying stealing the merchandise. The two suspects were arrested and booked into Santa Clara Main Jail for organized retail theft. SF commissioner says business was vandalized, ‘targeted’ Approximately an hour earlier, the suspects also stole merchandise from the Lululemon in Gilroy, according to LGPD.
