LOUIS - Crews are responding to a house fire in south St. Louis city.Our Bommarito Automotive Group SkyFOX helicopter was flying over the area located on South Broadway, where black smoke can be seen coming from several homes. Alexa Bartell, 20 (Provided by Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department)Jefferson County Sheriff’s investigators have arrested three 18-year-old suspects from Arvada in the rock-throwing death of 20-year-old Alexa Bartell.The investigators made the arrests during the night at Arvada homes and officials early Wednesday announced they’d taken the three into custody. Officials identified the suspects as Joseph Koenig, Nicholas “Mitch” Karol-Chik, and Zachary Kwak. In a news release, officials said the three will face charges of first-degree murder with extreme indifference.All three are suspected of throwing rocks, and additional charges are expected to be filed, pending determinations by the First Judicial District Attorney’s Office, authorities said.A suspect vehicle has been identified — a black 2016 Chevy Silverado, authorities said. Denver residents face rain Wednesday morning, and more snow may fall in the mountains west of the city, with clouds diminishing in the afternoon, leading to mostly clear skies at night, according to the National Weather Service.The high temperature Wednesday in Denver will be 51 degrees, decreasing to 36 degrees Wednesday night, weather service forecasters said.Snow falling in the mountains, foothills, and along the Palmer Divide between Denver and Colorado Springs was expected to bring up to four inches, creating slick driving conditions on some roads. A teenaged man crashed his car into a wall after he was shot while driving in Chatsworth Tuesday night.The 18-year-old was behind the wheel of a white Toyota Corolla in the 21000 block of Plummer Street a few minutes before 8 p.m. when another man who was standing on the sidewalk opened fire on the teen's vehicle, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. The teen was struck at least one time and crashed his vehicle into a low wall, which did not appear to be damaged. The man was transported to a local hospital in critical condition. cod Dozens of parents came out for the Redlands Unified School Board Meeting Tuesday night to call attention to what they claim are decades of child sexual abuse in the school system. Many of the parents said teachers and school administrators have covered up the allegations and are now demanding transparency and action. Renewed concerns about potential sexually predatory teachers within Redlands Unified follows a CBS News investigation from earlier this month. Tuesday night’s school board meeting is the first since the report was broadcast. “It’s outrageous and they should be ashamed of themselves for allowing this to happen,” Redlands resident and parent Melissa Castro said.
