Kenji López-Alt's article about the experience is causing a stir in St. Louis. Did Chicago steal the Gateway city's signature style? Not quite, but he does argue that most Midwestern pizza is influenced by a staple of Chicago's taverns. The article is featured on the St. Louis sub-Reddit and generating some interesting comments:"I'm convinced the article is rage-bait for their lagging St. Louis demographic," writes one Redditor."People who don't like provel really go out of their way to let random people know," states another Reddit commenter."St. Louis style is literally just Chicago Tavern Style with provel cheese," argues another Reddit user. Trending: Remains in Crawford County possibly of woman missing since 2014 Apparently there are at least two styles of Chicago pizza. The one everyone outside of Chicago knows, the deep dish,...

The Great Consumer Rebellion: Shoppers Give Pay-Back for Poor Customer Service

Published Fri, 07 Feb 2025 15:47:18 GMT

“The customer is always right” — If you’re a millennial or from a generation before that, you’re all too familiar with this phrase. And many of us probably somehow benefited from this mantra as a consumer without even knowing it. Because there’s no denying that we’ve been subjected to less-than-satisfactory services before that were, subsequently, corrected to our satisfaction by a highly accommodating customer service team. But those were the good old times, and the-customer-is-king attitude is slowly disappearing. Kliavkoff must do more than identify its direction; he must redirect a gilded puck into the back of the net. This is exactly why the conference hired the former president of MGM Sports and Entertainment in the first place — to close a media deal that satisfies the revenue and exposure needs of the membership.Nothing else matters. The stakes are nothing less than the future of the conference and the trajectory of major college sports on the West Coast. Will Kliavkoff land a deal comparable in revenue to the Big 12’s agreemen...
