ST. LOUIS -- The recent series of colder nights has begun to reveal the vibrant colors of autumn leaves. Many eagerly await the changing of colors, and for those looking forward to leaf peeping, the situation is steadily improving. The recent cool nights have played a pivotal role in bringing out the fall colors. The changing colors are starting farther west and north, though pockets of fall color can also be found just south of St. Louis. For those willing to take a scenic route, traveling through the hills along Hwy. 67 or alongside the bluffs along I-55 might provide glimpses of the transitioning colors. A 17-year-old boy was identified as the victim in an Oct. 12 shooting in East Denver.Officers responded to reports of a shooting near East Fifth Avenue and Dallas Street in the Lowry Park neighborhood at 4:07 p.m., Denver police said, where a teenage boy was found dead.ALERT: #DPD is conducting a homicide investigation in the area of 5th and Dallas. A teenager wanted in connection with a mass shooting outside of a Denver nightclub was arrested Thursday morning in San Bernardino County, California. Officers from the Denver Police Department arrested Keanna Rosenburgh in Barstow, a desert city roughly 115 miles northeast of Los Angeles, with assistance from the FBI and Barstow police, authorities said.Keanna Rosenburgh has been identified as the suspect in a Sept. 16, 2023, shooting outside a bar in Lower Downtown. In 2022, more than 817,000 people left the Golden State for somewhere else in the U.S. About 475,000 people decided to move to California last year, meaning California suffered a net loss of around 342,000 to other U.S. states. (KRON) – The United Educators of San Francisco Teachers Association announced a tentative agreement was made with the San Francisco Unified School District on Friday at 6 a.m.According to UESF, the two-year agreement includes:Certificated educators receive a permanent raise on the salary schedule of $9,000 the first year and a 5 percent increase the second year.Classified educators would receive a minimum salary of $30 per hour or an 8 percent increase (whichever is greater) in the first year and a 5 percent increase in the second year. Longevity for paraeducators will no longer be 30 cents an hour at 10 years. Educators now have percentage wins starting at 5 years, with 1 percent at 5 years, 2 percent at 10 years, 3 percent at 15 years, and 4 percent at 20 years.Substitute educators would see a 15 percent raise over two years.
