Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colorado) has announced that she will be a grandmother at 36 next month when her 17-year-old son’s partner gives birth to a son.Boebert revealed this family news at a women’s breakfast during the Conservative Political Action Conference in Maryland that ended last weekend, where she received a “mothers of influence” award. Boebert addressed women and men at the breakfast after accepting the award.“I’m going to tell you all for the first time in a public setting that, not only am I a mother of four boys, but, come April, I will be a ‘Gigi’ to a brand new grandson,” she said.Boebert’s son Tyler, when she talked with him about becoming a grandmother, pointed out that Boebert made her own mother a grandmother at 36 and he suggested it was “hereditary,” Boebert told those at the breakfast. She then praised the values of “rural conservative communities” where teen pregnancy rates tend to be higher, she said, “because we value the preciousness...10 New Items To Try At The Disney Food and Wine Festival 2023

The Disney Food & Wine Festival is back at Disney California Adventure Park in Anaheim and while fans can still find some of their favorites on the tasting menu, such as the Mickey Mouse-shaped Snickers macaron, more than 60 new items (primarily drinks) can be found at this year’s event.Generating the most buzz early on, has been the “elote paleta”(pictured above) and for good reason. Piggy backing off the success from last year’s “frozen guacamole” ice cream bar, the park took a similar approach with the elote version for 2023.The elote is just one of a handful of items to get excited about this year, as cultural diversity is shown throughout, per usual. If you’re not familiar with the event, more than a dozen food carts are sprinkled within the park, with items that can be ordered a-la-carte, but many like to take advantage of the “Sip and Savor Pass” which comes with eight vouchers to try an array of personal-sized ve...March 2023: Audio Clips Trending on TikTok Right Now

As Archbishop Mitty, at long last healthy, ascended to the top of girls basketball in the northern half of the state with one blowout victory after another, the last matchup in the journey seemed preordained. But even certainties have off nights.Mitty did its part, rolling through two overmatched opponents in the regionals after shredding four others in the sectionals. Sierra Canyon-Chatsworth fell short, the Trailblazers’ bid for an undefeated season and a third Open Division state championship since 2019 going up in flames just as Mitty posed for a team picture Tuesday night to commemorate its regional title.Instead of a rematch against Sierra Canyon, the school that routed Mitty in last year’s state Open final, the San Jose powerhouse will face Etiwanda for the title on Saturday night at Golden 1 Center in Sacramento.Instead of Mitty’s McKenna Woliczko and Morgan Cheli vs. Sierra Canyon superstar Juju Watkins, it’ll be Cheli and Woliczko against Etiwanda’s Kennedy Smith and Aliyah...Oakland and lender seek “win-win” rescue for Holy Names University

SAN JOSE — A running backlog of criminal cases is a much bigger problem in the South Bay than it is in neighboring jurisdictions, with Santa Clara County recovering more slowly from a raft of pandemic-fueled closures and restrictions, according to officials in the local criminal-justice system.District Attorney Jeff Rosen said he got a firmer understanding of how behind the county is relative to its regional peers after he hosted an assembly of a dozen top prosecutors from the greater Bay Area last week.“At a high level, we’re an outlier because even in the Bay Area, our courts narrowed what what they were doing significantly, and really shut down operations except what was absolutely essential,” he said in an interview with the Bay Area News Group. “Other counties, except for San Francisco, were more open.”“We have a crisis,” Rosen added. “When I was trying murder cases (prior to becoming DA), we told the families of murder vict...Two injured in I-880 collision involving Red Cross van
