GEORGETOWN, Texas (Nexstar) — Retired Major Paul Lasen has been soaring through the skies for longer than most people have been alive."I wanted to fly. And that's what I've been doing ever since," he said.Starting in 1960, Lasen is still flying even as he enters his 90th year. "When you get up and pull the gear up, and start climbing, the world looks so much better, so much better," he said.As if turning 90 wasn't a milestone enough, his Wednesday birthday encapsulates a lifetime of excellence. In 2017, Lasen flew with the Thunderbirds – even though regulations stipulate that no one over the age of 55 can fly with the renowned air squadron. When officers arrived at around 9:40 p.m., they saw evidence of a stabbing but no victim, according to the Pittsfield Police Department. (KRON) -- The Oakland Police Department was notified of a victim of a gunshot wound who walked into an area hospital early Thursday morning.Investigators responding to the hospital just after 1:30 a.m. determined the shooting had occurred on the 90 block of East 10th Street, south of Lake Merritt and Lake Merritt Boulevard, OPD said. Officers reported to the scene, where evidence of a shooting was located, according to police.
