NEW YORK (AP) — Padres left fielder Juan Soto was a late scratch from San Diego’s game against the New York Yankees on Sunday because of back tightness.The injury was announced about 10 minutes before first pitch.Soto was held out of the starting lineup for the first time this season and replaced by José Azocar. MILAN (AP) — A tourist boat capsized in a storm on Italy’s Lago Maggiore in the northern Lombardy region on Sunday, with at least one person confirmed dead, Italian media reported.Authorities were searching for several people who were still missing after a sudden whirlwind overturned a boat carrying more than 20 tourists and crew, the news agency ANSA reported. A man was fatally shot Sunday morning on the Washington Metro’s Green Line.Police received a call around 11:45 a.m. regarding a shooting aboard a Green Line train. Arriving at D.C.’s Navy Yard station, they discovered a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.Despite efforts to save him, the man was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the police department.Police are searching for a suspect described as a Black man, aged between 25 and 27, with a thin build.
